Google to Launch Tap to Translate Next Year

Posted in Android Application, IOS, and Technology

At today’s Google for India event in New Delhi, Google’s vice president for product management Caesar Sengupta showed off a sexy upcoming feature in the company’s Translate service, which makes messaging in multiple languages a lot easier.

Sengupta said, “Our most active users in India translate between Hindi and English multiple times a day, spending lots of time copying messages from friends or colleagues, translating them, writing responses, translating their responses, and then pasting them back into an app.”

The company’s Tap to Translate feature lets you copy any text on your Android device — including messages in one-one or group conversations — and translates it for you in a floating window.

You only have to select the text and thereafter Tap to Translate offers by Symbol already on.The otherwise customary steps to highlight how the text, insert it in the example Google Translator and select the About setting process, therefore falls flat  – which indeed saves a lot of time and fine motor fumbling – especially the phone or tablet.

Another feature mentioned Google the opportunity while chatting to translate their own sentences in the language of the interlocutor – write in German, the partner gets it for example in English.  Tap to Translate is expected to arrive on Android devices in the first quarter of 2016.
