Solu is a powerful pocket computer, made out of wood. It can be used both as a portable device or as a stationary one, plugged into any screen. Your content is automatically stored in a multi-GB local cache of the Solu cloud. With the SoluOS you don’t have to manage your computer or worry about your IT infrastructure. SoluOS also backs up all settings, and the state of the Solu itself, so you can swap to a new device straight away if something goes wrong; if, for instance, you drop your Solu into a river. This means you have more time to focus on the things that actually matter.

People no longer work alone or as components of a machine, they work together. Solu’s operating system was designed to support this new world, where team members need real-time access to each others work. We have made sure that you no longer have to think about file sharing or application availability, as all tools are accessible to everyone. No installations, no credit cards, no hassle.

Even better, you can use these same features to share things you do with your family, or hobby projects with friends. Solu is a social computer. When the Solu device is connected to an external screen, its own screen becomes a smart touchpad, with controls that can be used directly.

Solu’s unique human-machine interface rethinks the way people use computers. Drawing inspiration from the way the human brain works, the zoomable interface allows you to organize projects and documents with natural gestures. You no longer open applications and then files, but simply zoom in on the documents you wish to work on, navigating within organic spaces.
