The Xiaomi Mi5 comes with a 5.15-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and 16MP/4MP cameras.The company has only launched the 32GB storage variant and one of the key talking points of the smartphone is the front and back glass design and metal frame. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is also one of the first smartphones in India to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor.
The phone has a 16MP rear camera with Sony’s IMX298 sensor with 4-axis optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and deep trench isolation (DTI) technology. and a 4MP front facing camera. The phone is equipped with a 3000mAH battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology and runs Android Marshmallow with MIUI 7 layered over it. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor located on the home button. In addition, the phone comes with a USB Type-C port, NFC, and an IR Blaster.
With 4K video recording capabilities, four-axis OIS technology, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash, and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
