The ION Belt — Portable charging for your phone, through your belt!

Posted in Technology

The Ion belt is new portable charging for your phone, through your belt. It’s lower cost design boasts a larger 3,000 man battery, and the buckle is designed to plug right into a USB wall charger, making it easy to charge the belt up when it’s run dry.

To reduce the cost, a different type of battery has been used. It’s scheduled to ship in June 2016.

Lithium polymer batteries have revolutionized the world we live in. Without them the mobile device expansion would be a shabby imitation of what we have today. Very occasionally, though, they’re a little unpredictable.

Bearing this in mind they designed the Ion Belt, made safety of primary concern. Start the basics: overcharge, over voltage, over current battery protection circuits on each cell, independent lab UN38.3 battery pack and device certifications and test to failure power stress power cycles.

But they wanted to go that extra mile and have therefore developed the Encapsulpak steel-clad technology to protect the batteries from accidental damage and general wear and tear.

This technology creates two independent layers of steel sheeting between the batteries and the outside world, ensuring that any stresses or strains do not get in the way of you enjoying your belt with peace of mind.

The Ion Belt does not transmit radio waves and produces about as much radiation as a digital watch (which is to say, basically none).

A side note on electronic radiation (in case you were wondering): charging your phone in your pocket will not cause increased exposure to radiation from your phone. When your phone gets warm while charging, it is not because of increased radiation, it is just the battery doing electrical work.
