Samsung Galaxy J3, priced at Rs 8,990 launched in India. It comes with a dedicated ‘S bike mode’.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) features a 5″ Super AMOLED screen (720p), quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, LTE and dual-SIM connectivity, plus a 2,600mAh battery. The phone has two cameras – 8MP/1080p on the back and 5MP on the front.

The highlight feature of the new Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) is what the company calls S bike mode. Buyers get a NFC tag that needs to be stuck on the bike. When you sit on your bike, tapping your smartphone on the tag will automatically activate the S bike mode on the device.

In this mode, when the biker gets a call, the caller actually hears a pre-recorded message saying that the person is currently riding a bike. Only if the caller presses 1, will the call actually go through. The mode also supports gestures, and the biker can reject the call using a gesture.

The bike mode also includes motion lock, which prevents the biker from answering the call when the bike is moving. It can also monitor the bike ride and share statistics with the rider.
