Happy Mothers Day From Facebook Messenger With Decorated Flowers

Posted in Facebook, and Messenger

Mothers Day Facebook Messenger with decorated flowers. Messenger is a great way to communicate with all the people you care about the most, and our team is always trying to create new delightful ways to put a smile on the faces of those you love. For those countries that celebrate Mother’s Day this coming weekend, we’ve created a special new feature for you to send flowers to your mom, your friends who are moms, and of course, all the other people that make your life great – no matter if they are moms or not!

Send Sweet Flowers and Stickers this Mother’s Day with Messenger.

For a short time (May 7th through May 9th) , you’ll see a new purple flower icon in Messenger. Tap on the flower to decorate your messages — text, photos, GIFs and more – with colorful blooms. The person you’re sending the message to will see the flowers on their end, too.

How this works:

If you’re already in a conversation with someone, you’ll see a purple flower icon in the lower right corner of the composer. Tap that, and you’ll see that the flower fills in with darker purple, and you’ll see instructions that “your message will be decorated with flowers.” Then choose the content you want to send, or type your note and press Send.

From the main screen in Messenger, tap the flower icon in the upper left, and then select the person you want to send a message to. Then, type your message or select the sticker, GIF, etc. that you want to send, and voila!

And there’s more – we have new stickers just for Mother’s Day called Motherly Love. You can see and download the new pack (for free) by clicking this link: http://bit.ly/1WGGBSH.

Hope you enjoy sharing these sweet flowers as you celebrate …. whether that’s by being with your mom, or by thanking all the moms that make up your virtual village, the mother-like figures you learn from and all your special friends.

This will be available in 82 countries (full list in comments below) from May 7th to May 9th. Don’t worry though — they’ll make this available on other days celebrating mothers around the world.
