Apple’s iPhone SE is set to go on sale in India today (April 8th). Apple has already announced India pricing for the 16GB variant of the iPhone SE, which is Rs 39,000. Apple will also launch the 64GB variant in India, and while it didn’t announce its pricing initially, the listing on official Apple website now reveals that it will set you back by Rs 49,000.
The iPhone 6s 64GB variant is currently available online for around Rs 60,000 while the 16GB model is available for Rs 42,000 approximately. But it is worth pointing out that the iPhone 6s had launched in India for Rs 62,000 and 72,000 for 16GB and 64GB models respectively in December last year.
The iPhone SE has a 4-inch Retina Display. It runs the latest iOS 9.3 and is powered by an A9 processor paired with M9 co-processor. For photography, the smartphone has a 12-megapixel iSight camera on the rear with True Tone Flash, 4K video and Live Photos support. It also has a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and NFC for Apple Pay support. The iPhone SE is available in four color options – silver, gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold.
Apple has also launched two accessories along with the new iPhone SE — leather cases and Lightning Dock. The Apple-designed leather cases will be available in black and midnight blue, priced at Rs 2,900 while Lightning Docks in color-matched metallic finishes are priced at Rs 3,700.
