Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has launched a new smartphone at an event in New Delhi. The device is named as the Coolpad Mega 2.5D with curved glass and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available exclusively via Amazon India.
The smartphone comes with 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280×720pixels) display with pixel density of 294ppi and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Running on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with a layer of Coolpad’s Cool UI 8.0 on top, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT67355P 64-bit quad-core chipset clocked at 1GHz. It is paired with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. With 16GB internal storage, the smartphone also features a microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB is also present. It also includes support for USB OTG (on-the-go).
The highlight of this phone is the front camera, it features an 8MP camera on front and back as well. It packs a 2,500 mAh battery which seems a bit smaller for the hardware it has. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. The sensors include Proximity, Light and G sensor.The selfie camera also features a smart beautification mode for selfies and field of view of 83.6 degrees for group selfies.
It has been priced at Rs. 7,499 and will be available only on Amazon India website. Sale starts on 24th August and it will be available in Pure Gold, Grey and Champagne white colors.
