CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2019: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates of class 12 practical examinations. The board, in a notification, has said that the practical examinations will begin on January 15, 2019, across the country except in Allahabad where Kumbh Mela is to begin next month where it will be held from January 1, 2019.
In the notice addressed to heads of schools, CBSE said, “You are aware that practical examinations for eligible regular candidates are held from 16th January to 15th February each year. For 2019 examination, practical examinations will be held w.e.f 16.01.2019 to 15.02.2019 except in the city of Allahabad where it will commence w.e.f 01.01.2019 on account of Kumbh Mela celebrations.”
Practical examination in skill-based subjects and few other academic subjects which are being opted by a small number of students will be held in the later half of February 2019, CBSE said.
Practical examination in all subjects should be completed within 1st half of February, 2019, the board said.
Practical examinations should be conducted invariably in two sessions in a day if the number of candidates is more than 20, it added.
The CBSE has directed the schools to upload the marks on the date of the examination itself. The marks should be uploaded on the date of examinations from the school where the practical examination will be conducted by the external examiner, it said.
In another notification released by CBSE, the board has said that that assessment of both project work and Speaking and Listening (ASL) for Hindi Elective (Subject code 002) and Hindi Core (Subject code 302) will be done internally by schools.
The ASL and project work each carry 10 marks.
