Xiaomi Mi Drone — has taken the wraps off its first-ever drone. The overall design of the drone is in line with what has been reported before, though Xiaomi says the device has been inspired by a ‘dragonfly’. Developed by Xiaomi’s ecosystem partner Flymi, prices for the Mi Drone starts from 2,499 Yuan, which is Rs 25,600 approximately.
The drone can be controlled with a remote control that not only lets users maneuver the drone, but also take photos, videos and use features like automatic take-off, landing or homing. The controller features a PCB antenna, which helps in flying the drone at a distance of up to three kilometers.
You can even connect your smartphone to the controller to see what the drone sees in real-time. Using GPS you can track the drone’s location in real-time and also get updates on its power status. In case it goes out of the connected range or runs low on battery, the drone will automatically fly back to the position it took off from.
The Mi Drone will come in two variants. One variant is capable of recording 4K videos, while the other variant is able to record full HD videos at 60fps. Both cameras also feature three-axis image stabilization, with a speed of nearly 2,000 corrections per second.
The 4K-capable Mi Drone is priced at 2,999 Yuan, which is Rs 30,700 approximately, while the 1080p-capable Mi Drone is priced at 2,499 Yuan, which is Rs 25,600 approximately.
