The Point Motion is clear with what it wants to be: a digital instrument. With a camera, software and 1,500-plus preloaded sounds and instruments, it’s an orchestra in pyramid-shaped hardware.
To use, just move or dance in front of the digital camera and let the device work its magic. For those who can’t buy the device, the software can work with other cameras like those built into laptops. The next step in the process is to just start moving.
The device can send MIDI information to professional equipment as well as just play the music directly. The software is available to preorder for $40. A $175 pledge will get you the physical device, the Puppet Master application and the Point Wellness Application.
