Nokia 6.1 Plus could be the next device from HMD Global to receive Google’s latest version of Android. The Finnish company has marked the Android Pie beta testing for the smartphone as complete.
HMD Global is among the few companies to issued Android 9 Pie update for its smartphones. The company has released Android Pie update for Nokia 7 plus and had confirmed that the update will be released for other devices by the end of this year.
HMD Global confirmed that Nokia 5.1 Plus will join company’s Android 9 Pie roadmap soon. It plans to get all of its devices on latest version of Android by the end of this year. Android Pie brings a number of features that could shape the future of Android for devices with tall display and thin bezels.
One of the feature is called Digital Wellbeing, which lets you track the amount of time spent using the device. The feature helps you to regain control on your digital life. Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus are among the first non-Pixel devices to get the Digital Wellbeing feature.
