The Moto G4 Play has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 8,999. The smartphone will be available via Amazon India.
The Moto G4 Play flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with 294ppi and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. The smartphone also comes with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. In the photography department, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, 4X digital zoom and 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and display flash.

The Moto G4 Play will be up against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and the Honor Holly 2 Plus. Xiaomi’s smartphone too comes with a 5-inch 720p display, 5-megapixel selfie camera and dual-SIM connectivity. But you get a device with a metal body, fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 430 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, VoLTE support and a massive 4,100mAh battery.
The Honor Holly 2 Plus also comes with a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and dual-SIM 4G connectivity. But it also offers a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a bigger 4,000mAh battery
