Posted in Android Application, and Whatsapp

A WhatsApp user can do, messaging, voice call, video call, sharing live location, Status Privacy and sending animated GIFs. Earlier we relied only on text  messages. Later WhatsApp added voice/video calls, which makes more sense since its core mission is to help people to communicate and keep in touch. With All these Features, upcoming updates WhatsApp is planning to give Payment Service and Group calling services.

WhatsApp is Likely to be Updated with Following Features:

WhatsApp Payment :

Already Paytm, Google Tez and BHIM Apps are having UPI based payment service. WhatsApp is planning to go beyond messaging app, as it is aiming to become as payment service provider. WhatsApp Payment feature is an UPI-based payment service from chat app. So we can able to make quick bank to bank money transfers without any extra charges via this feature. It has started testing it’s own UPI-based payment feature in India.

The new feature is available to selected users of beta app in India on Android and iOS, which enables users to send and receive money using UPI standard. This feature is likely to be available on WhatsApp version 2.18.21 for iOS, and version 2.18.41 for Android.  Here Both the sender and receiver need to have the WhatsApp Payments feature to do the  successful transaction if they have UPI Pin already. Otherwise they need to create the UPI Pin while linking the Bank Account in their App.

Group calls:

WhatsApp is planning to Introduce group calls to WhatsApp’s voice and video calls. Currently, you can make voice or video    calls to only contact at a time. This Group call feature will allow you to add more people’s to voice calls just like the  conference calls and we can also do group video call’s.

Shake to report:

WhatsApp is working on a Shake to report feature. This feature is yet to roll out. In Upcoming days, we will be able to report any kind of App related error’s in WhatsApp by simply shaking the device. It’ll take us to Contact Us section by shaking the device. By doing this our device logs will be sent to WhatsApp support center. After that the support team will help us to overcome it.
