Just watch a tutorial/read a book

Keep looking for the “best” resource.
Jump from one resource to the other.
Think that buying the best equipment 
will do much.
Do:
Read that book, and follow that tutorial. But, try things out on your own.
Experiment with adding new features to that to-do-list app code you copied from someone.
Delete all of the code and try it out on your own.
Break your head against the wall trying to make it work.
Ask questions on stack overflow and never get any answers.
Lose sleep over it.
Don’t give up.
