Google launches ‘Doodle Fruit Games’ for the Rio 2016

Posted in Android Application, Google, and IOS

Doodle Fruit Games — The 2016 Olympic Games open in Rio de Janeiro today, celebrate it by opening the Google app on your phone, tapping on the Google Doodle logo, you can start playing the fruit games.

Google has got into the celebratory mode by promising one new doodle every day for the next seven days. These doodles are interactive and sticking to the spirit of the games, the theme is ’2016 Doodle Fruit Games’. As the name suggests, these Fruit Games are basically a mock Olympics of sorts featuring some delicious fruits.

Doodle Fruit Games How it works:

Google hopes you will find these fruits as “apPEELing” as it does (yep – Google wrote that, but I’m sure it’ll make sense when you play the Apple game). From what I can see,you can run as a strawberry, swim as a lemon, play tennis as a pineapple, there is a biking game (you play a coconut on a BMX bike), water polo, spider hurdle jumping and more. You can also play a cute berry that is trying to avoid getting turned into a smoothie by an overly aggressive (yet oddly happy) melon that doesn’t exactly exhibit the Olympic spirit.

These games are fun to play and go a long way in satiating your wait for the Rio Olympics to kick off. To play the 2016 Doodle Fruit Games, you will need to have the latest Google app installed on your Android or iOS devices or visit g.co/fruit . Simply tap the doodle on your mobile device to start the Fruit Games and play any of the games.

These games will be available to play for the next seven days. The Google app will feature a different game each day; you can play the first batch on Android and iOS right now.
