The new 9.7-inch iPad comes with 32.4Wh battery and feature a 10-hour battery life. It’s offering better battery life than the iPad Air 2.

In a press statement, Apple exec Phil Schiller said that customers would welcome the new “even more affordable” 9.7-inch iPad. “New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it,” said Schiller.

iPad is designed to stay connected wherever you go. Fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi delivers up to 866-Mbps throughput. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model supports LTE networks worldwide for convenient connectivity. And Apple SIM lets you easily connect to wireless networks in over 140 countries and regions, right from your device.

Taking photos and videos with iPad is a snap. Use the 8-megapixel camera to shoot detailed images or 1080p HD video, then edit them right on iPad with Photos, iMovie, or your favorite app from the App Store. Or use the front-facing FaceTime HD camera for video calls and gorgeous selfies.

The price of the iPad has also been dropped in comparison to its predecessor, with a 32GB Wi-Fi model starting at $329, and 32GB Wi-Fi and Cellular model going for $459. The hardware on the new 9.7-inch iPad may be relatively old, but $329 will certainly get people’s attention.
