Registrations for the flash sales on Flipkart start from 2:00PM today, and YU says this price is only applicable for a month, after which it will increase to Rs 14,999.

The YU Yunicorn boasts a full-metal body with chamfered edges. As seen on the TV ad earlier this week, there is a physical home button placed below the display, which also has an embedded fingerprint scanner.

The Yunicorn also features a 4,000mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to last up to two days on heavy usage. It also comes with Fast Charging support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Since Micromax doesn’t have an exclusive partnership with Cyanogen anymore, the Yunicorn runs on a close to stock Android Lollipop. YU calls its new OS ‘Android on Steroids’, which comes with an integrated search bar and a vertical app drawer. The company also says that it will ship the Android Marshmallow update in a few weeks.
